Founded by two journos, GIRLS IRL focuses on sharing lols about our lives and discussing relationships, mental health and the struggles of daily life as women.
The podcast was created in November 2019 with the first episode focusing on relationships. After a positive response, we decided to create a website/blog to write stories to coincide with the podcast. Fast-forward to July 2020, the brand released the second season of the podcast, frequent blog posts, an e-magazine and a newsletter.
We started off as two girls with a fun podcast idea in mind, and now we’re a fully-functioning brand that has been featured on BBC Upload five times in 2020. I literally cannot wait to see what the future holds for the GIRLS IRL brand!
