Signs that you aren’t compatible with your partner

Everyone wants to find that special someone and live happily ever after…but don’t settle for someone just because you don’t want to be lonely.

It can be tough to figure out if a relationship doesn’t work, but here are a few warning signs that your relationship may not be right.

FLAKING ON PLANS

This works both ways actually. If you are avoiding seeing them and cancelling plans, then you don’t want to be with them. On the flip side, if they are doing the same – it’s time to end it. Relationships deserve time and effort put in, and if one person isn’t as invested then it’s doomed to fail.

SELF CONSCIOUS

A little doubt is normal and understandable – but if you are questioning everything then you need to re-evaluate. If the conversation feels one-sided, then you can easily get self conscious as to whether or not you are more invested. The best thing to do is ask them once to find out, if you feel like something is still wrong in your gut – then maybe it’s not your forever relationship.

HATE MENTIONING THEM

Relationships are shown off and people get overly proud of their partner and status. If this isn’t you, then you should question your relationship. Sometimes this is okay, but if you can’t stand the thought of mentioning them or get embarrassed – then this relationship is not right for you.

CONSTANT ARGUING

Arguing is fine in relationships as it shows passion and care. However, there is a limit to how much arguing is enough. If the blame is placed on one person and the argument seems irrational, then perhaps you guys aren’t compatible.

FEELS PHYSICAL

The ultimate red flag is if your relationship feels mainly physical and that they are using you for sex. If you feel this way, discuss it or get out. Don’t get your heartbroken by someone who isn’t as invested. If they don’t want to get to know you – that’s their loss and you deserve better.

Life is way too short to be messed around by losers.
