Life lessons learnt from Friends

So, no one told you life was gonna be this way? It’s tough being an adult after watching TV shows that show it in such a more glamorous and hilarious way. This doesn’t mean that we can’t learn anything from them.

Here are 5 life lessons to learn from Friends.

YOUR PAST DOESN’T DEFINE YOU

Rachel starts as a spoilt rich girl, but became a successful individual working in the fashion industry. Friends shows you that your past will not hold you back from becoming a better version of yourself.

KEEP TRYING FOR YOUR DREAM JOB

Chandler worked in a miserable job for years before finally getting his dream job as an advertiser. Same with Joey, Monica and Rachel. If you work hard enough and have passion, you can achieve your dream job.

LIFE DOESN’T WAIT

Ross kept holding back on his feelings for Rachel and missed out on starting a relationship with her for seasons. Richard lost Monica because he didn’t want kids. By the time he realised, Monica had found Chandler. Go for what you want, and don’t worry about the embarrassment. Life will not wait.

BE KIND

Chandler found this out the hard way. He kept mocking Monica and it led to him losing a toe. Just be nice to people and you’ll receive kindness back. If you don’t, you could end up like Chandler.

FRIENDS ARE FOREVER

Through the hard times and the good, your friends will be there for you. Whether you are stranded or stuck for cash, they’ll be there despite the situations. Ross came to help the gang out, even after he broke up with Rachel. Despite the awkwardness, he came through for his friends.
